It's been a few years since I communicated with you last but I want you to know that I have continued coaching at St Catharines Collegiate, Niagara District and finally at Lakeport as I shifted around in administrative positions. Football has been good (except when we experienced work-to-rule that shut down the season) and though we have had championship teams in all three schools few of the graduating students were both academically and athletically skilled to continue at university. One exception this past year was Jon Donnelly who played at Lakeport while attending Niagara District which did not field a team. He was previously coached by Kent Riscoe who may be familiar to you. Jon attended practices regularly and always called when he had to miss in spite of having to drive about 6 miles daily. Besides this commitment and sense of responsibility I found Jon to be easy to coach and developed into an outstanding two way player- fullback/tight end and linebacker. I honestly believe Jon will be successful at the university level either at the offensive positions or very possibly as a defensive end. Jordan started at fullback all the years he played at Northern. He has the potential to be an excellent university football player. I would project him as a possible starter in a few years. After highschool I was set on attending SFU. The admittance to SFU was higher than most schools in Canada so I played Junior while upgrading my marks. I was admitted to FU last Spring, I was not ready to do all the school work so my grades suffered making me academically ineligible.
